Full Hunter's Moon Walk (Cutchogue)

There’s nothing like a walk in the woods beneath the full moon.  Algonquin tribes in eastern North America knew October’s moon to be the “Hunter’s Moon” because it referred to the season when game was fattened and signaled the time to go hunting.  Throughout this guided one-mile walk at Downs Farm Preserve in Cutchogue, you’ll discover the sights and sounds of the preserve beneath the bright moonlight. You may have the opportunity to even see or hear an owl! Flashlight or headlamp suggested. Family friendly. Space is limited so register today.

Registration required, please contact Christine Tylee at ctylee@eastendenvironment.org
