- Project Feederwatch at Downs Farm Preserve
Friday, December 14, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Do you like to feed and watch birds? Curious how to attract certain birds and stumped on what kinds of seed and feeders to use? Have you thought about being a “Citizen Scientist” to help bird researchers learn more about bird populations and ways to protect our feathered friends? If you said “yes” to any or all of these questions, come by the Downs Farm Nature Center to learn more about “Project Feederwatch”, an international program from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology dedicated to understanding songbird populations. During the winter we will have times for Citizen Scientists to record birds visiting the Downs Farm feeders and this may be just the volunteer gig for you! For more information, please contact Aaron Virgin at 631-765-6450 ext. 218 or email@example.com.
