Peconic Estuary CAC Meeting: The Future of Plum Island
Wednesday, October 17
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Crohan Community Center
Join the Peconic Estuary Program (PEP) Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) for an open meeting with local naturalists to discuss the future of Plum Island. Plans are in the works to sell the island, but conservationists are advocating for its preservation as a National Wildlife Refuge. The meeting will take place at the Crohan Community Center (655 Route 24 in Riverhead/Flanders). For more information, please contact Jennifer Skilbred at 631-765-6450 ext. 212 or email@example.com.
Do you enjoy boating, kayaking, fishing or birdwatching in the Peconic Estuary? Want to learn more about the issues and challenges facing the bays and have a say in future restoration and management activities? If yes, join the Peconic Estuary Program (PEP) Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). As a member, you’ll help us spread public awareness of the estuary while advising the PEP about important goals and concerns of the citizens of Long Island’s East End. Exercise your right as a stakeholder of the PEP – the coordinating entity that works toward clean water and healthy bays in our community.
To apply or find out more, please e-mail your name, address, phone, fax, and e-mail address to firstname.lastname@example.org, call 631-852-5750, or visit the Citizen’s webpage.
