Protect Suffolk County’s Drinking Water Protection Program

The voter-approved Drinking Water Protection Program provides crucial funding for water quality protection throughout Suffolk County. However, in recent years tens of millions of dollars have been raided from the Program to patch the County budget without voter approval. On September 9th the Legislature will vote on IR 1574-2014 which would stop the County from ever changing the Drinking Water Protection Program again without asking the electorate for their approval.

Please take a moment to send a letter to the Suffolk County Legislature, urging them to pass IR 1574-2014 and to treat our water quality as a top priority.
