- Earth Day Celebration (Cutchogue)
Join Group for the East End and local organizations at the Downs Farm Preserve in Cutchogue as we celebrate our planet! Participants will enjoy live animal demonstrations, nature-related games, arts and crafts, guided nature walks, musical fun with Lyrical Children, and so much more! The event is free but donations are accepted.
- Nature Yoga (Cutchogue)
Join Paula DiDonato of The Giving Room at Down’s Farm Preserve on behalf of the Group for the East End as we practice this one hour gentle yoga class open to all levels. We will gather at the cabins in Cutchogue at this sweet spot. Enjoy this connection to nature and your heart. The time is set to enjoy the sun set and the moon rise. Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to take a lovely walk through the trails should you choose to join us after this one hour class. Mats and props provided. - Shore & Wading Birds of Shinnecock Bay (Hampton Bays)
In early May, Shinnecock Bay is teeming with migrant shorebirds and nesting waders. Accompany us for a morning wildlife search along Dune Road in Hampton Bays. Among the animals we expect to see are Great and Snowy Egrets, Great Blue Heron, Glossy Ibis, American Oystercatcher, Willet, and Greater Yellowlegs. Binoculars are required.
